The French Broad River runs for over 200 miles through North Carolina into Tennessee and offers multiple scenic sections for paddlers of all skill levels to enjoy. The river has multiple access points and launch areas along the way that make it very easy to customize trips of all distances. This trip sets off from a public access site in Rosman and follows 10 miles of flat, shallow river through wooded and rural terrain to the take-out on Island Ford Road. The trip is a good option for beginner paddlers with class I-II waters with shoals being the only real obstacle.
